Our purpose is to make communal worship possible while keeping everyone safe. While we recognize that there are a variety of viewpoints on the issues involved, our aim is that all of us can both feel safe that we have taken necessary precautions and also that we have done our best to not make things too difficult in the process.
At this time, we have a 9 a.m. and a 10:30 a.m. service at the church building, as well as an online live service via Facebook and our web site at 9 a.m. (or on demand). The nursery and children's ministry are open during both services.
Most of us are not coming together in person for Sunday School (exceptions: youth and one class for parents of children in Children's Ministry at 9:00 a.m.), Wednesday night activities, including children’s and youth ministries at our church building have resumed. Youth ministries continues to also facilitate attending via Zoom.
The Monday night prayer meeting is taking place online via Zoom.
Please contact the church office to schedule any other gatherings at the church so that regular cleaning of any room is possible. No meetings other than the Sunday services will take place in the Sanctuary.
You may socialize in the parking lot while maintaining social distancing. Please enter the building no earlier than 20 minutes before the service, entering through the North Door to the foyer. If you plan to sit together, please enter together as well. You will be asked to immediately proceed to the Sanctuary and take a seat. We will have ushers at the entrance to the Sanctuary to help your party find a seat. After the service, please leave the building through the foyer to the outside.
Unfortunately, there are no coffee bar or donuts available.
The “new” bathrooms (across from the office) are open. When closed for cleaning, directions to alternate bathrooms will be provided.
Offering boxes are available at the doorways and online offerings continue to be an option.
The church building will have been thoroughly cleaned over the course of the week. In addition, between the two services we will spray the Sanctuary, including the chairs, with a non-allergenic, non-staining, fast-drying disinfectant. We will also clean the “new” bathrooms before the 10:30 a.m. service.
Please don’t attend but watch online instead if you or a family member have had any of the following during the last 14 days:
- fever of 100.4 or higher
- shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- body aches
- recent onset of headaches
- new loss of taste or smell
- sore throat
- if you have come into close contact (within 6 feet) of someone who has a laboratory confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis
We will check each attendee’s temperature with a no-touch thermometer upon entering the building and door ushers have been advised to ask those with a temperature of 100.4 or above to return home and not attend for 2 weeks.
We ask that you let the church know if you test positive for COVID-19 within 14 days after attending a church service. This will allow us to alert attendees to possible exposure. We will not identify you to the congregation without your consent.
We have hand sanitizer available in multiple locations.
We ask every attendee to wear a face mask or face shield during the 9 a.m. service (face masks are available, if needed). During the 10:30 a.m. service, wearing of masks is optional.
Expect updates via e-mail, Facebook, and the Regency Park web site.
